Conscious Shopping Tips

We've made a commitment to conscious fashion ethically made with a zero waste ethos.

Trends come and go, we consume at rates which are harmful to the environment. Yet there is more that we can do to stop waste and shop ethically. Discover more brands committed to change like ourselves on our shop unique selection, here

When buying an item of clothing, there are so many things to consider. It’s useful to ask yourself questions, like is it an investment classic or a short-lived trend? Do you really need it? Will you wear it just a handful of times or does it have longevity?

Conscious shopping guide.

All of these are important to consider before you purchase any item. You can learn more in our conscious shopping guide.

CARE, REPAIR, RE-WEAR

Make loved clothes last by giving them the real care that they need. How you wash, store and care for your clothing makes all the difference. Check out our some simple tips here

Changing our spending habits, rather than trying to overhaul your whole wardrobe, why not invest in a handful of key pieces that will last the test of time.

Places: Cotswold's, Bristol, London & Scotland - Easter Trips

Places to Go, Eggs to Find..

Cotswolds
Take advantage of the longer spring days and better weather, by camping, glamping or holiday cottages. Why not take an extra special Easter trip here are some of our suggestions below
Zen - Frill Top

Bristol
Collect activity sheets from The Bristol Cheesemonger and hunt for brightly-coloured eggs in the windows of Wapping Wharf's eclectic mix of independent businesses. Crack the code to spell out an Easter-themed sentence and a reward awaits for your hard work!

Or why not visit Noah's Ark there's plenty going on that the whole family, will love and they certainly won’t be disappointed; plus parking at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is completely free of charge.

Clover - Chiffon Top

London
There's plenty of fun to be had in London from Good Friday to Easter Monday (Friday April 19 – Monday April 22 2019). Whether you're treating yourself to a Eggs Benedict or simply taking in the city in bloom
socializing, visiting botanical gardens or finding the best places to eat; we’ve tracked down the some of the very best things do over your Easter weekend in London.

Gastropub Bobin, Clapham. Does a cracking roast dinner, or Coal Shed, London Bridge, but on Sunday the whole family can pile in for a ‘sharing roast’ in traditional style

Peckham is blessed these days when it comes to decent food, and we have a particularly soft spot for this lovely-looking eatery attached to the Assembly Point Gallery – a cool hangout that regularly has bands plays to packed houses.

Scotland
Have fun and learn about wildlife at the same time. At Blair Drummond Safari Park, there’s a Giant Egg Hunt over Easter weekend where dozens of eggs will be hidden around the park for you and the family to find.

Shetland Craft Trail. Pick up a leaflet from a VisitScotland Information Centre and visit the crafty workshops and studios of everyone from carpenters to painters.

4 Years of M & M - BIRTHDAY

Thanks for shopping! Following and supporting us over the years! Madia & Matilda turned 4 this week and we thought we'd share our appreciation by adding free UK delivery for the rest of the Month.

Having accomplished so much through development and working or collaborating with most influential businesses around and an education team who are shaping the future of fashion and  presenting  in Empire Casino, St Martin's in Fields and for London fashion week we feel ultimately #blessed for the fantastic opportunities we have had on our journey so far.

Shalize Nicholas, started the brand with the vision of making a difference in fashion contributing to a less wasteful world and we are grateful to have grown, with a new HQ and shop this year and the development of ShopUnique; which adheres to our principles, a

of other sustainable sustainable solutions. Handmade, local production and local crafts, sustainable materials or upcycling. We are now in working in conjunction with Thread Count a sustainable initiative from the University of Gloucestershire
 for Sustainable Fashion.

Going forwards, we look forward to what is to come and hope that you will be with us all the way!
